Betty Jean Duncan, 67, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson.

She was a native of Puerto Rico and the daughter of the late Wade Dills and Julia Acevedo, a military family that lived in many places throughout her life. She lived in Creedmoor for several years and lived in Bullock after she retired.

Memorial services will be held on July 18, 2015 at Stovall Methodist Church (small church) by Rev. John Yount. Visitation will follow Memorial Service.

Surviving are her husband of thirty eight years, Harold W. Duncan of the home, a son Roy Smith of Lexington SC, two grandaughters, three sisters, Sylma Reimakoski of Archdale NC, Paralee O’Brien of Colfax NC. , Myrna Berger of Little River, SC., and three brothers, William Dills of Thomasville NC, David Dills of Lexington NC and Stanley Dills of Longwood NC. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Wayne Dills.
